Services » Construction and Repair of Full and Partial Dentures
A denture is an appliance that replaces missing teeth. Partial dentures fit around remaining natural teeth and can assist speaking, chewing and appearance. A full denture replaces all of the teeth on one jaw. Dentures are not a perfect substitute for natural teeth, but they can offer great benefits once a patient becomes accustomed to wearing an appliance in the mouth. Dentures are constructed over several appointments, and are then reviewed and adjusted at subsequent appointments. Alternatives to dentures will sometimes include dental implants and dental bridges. Some dentures can be constructed to work in harmony with specially placed dental implants.
If a denture breaks or requires the addition of new components, a denture can often be repaired by a dental technician, rather than needing replacement. Your dentist will advise you.
